Customer Care

We’re Here to Help

At LRS Canada, we want you to get the most out of your paging and communication equipment. A little routine care and proper charging can go a long way toward keeping your system in good working order.

Below, you’ll find some helpful guidelines for cleaning, charging and storing your LRS equipment. If you have a question or need assistance, our team is always happy to help.

Product Care & Cleaning

LRS equipment is manufactured using industrial-strength polycarbonate materials. While durable, these materials can be susceptible to hairline cracking if cleaned with unapproved products.

We recommend using only isopropyl alcohol-based cleaners that do not contain chloride or chlorine derivatives.

Recommended Cleaning Guidelines

  1. Take a clean, soft, lint-free cloth and an approved isopropyl alcohol-based cleaner.
  2. Apply the cleaner to the cloth rather than directly to the equipment.
  3. Wipe down the equipment as needed, based on usage.
  4. Allow the equipment to dry before returning it to the charger.

Important: Do not submerge LRS equipment in any type of liquid. Pagers and transmitters are water resistant, not waterproof.

Using unapproved cleaning products may weaken the plastic, make it brittle and cause hairline cracks. Damage resulting from the use of unapproved cleaners or liquid exposure is not covered under the standard warranty.

Not Sure About Your Cleaning Product?

If you would like us to confirm whether a particular cleaner is suitable for your equipment, please email us a list of ingredients along with the product’s Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS).

Email: info@lrscanada.ca

We’ll be happy to review the information and help determine whether the cleaner is appropriate.

Charging & Battery Care

Proper charging is important to maintaining battery health and ensuring your equipment is ready when you need it.

General Charging Guidelines

  • Keep rechargeable pagers and trackers on their charging bases whenever they are not in use.
  • Ensure equipment is properly seated on the charger.
  • Follow the maximum stacking limits for your equipment.

Maximum Stacking Limits

  • Coaster Call Pagers: 15 units high
  • Table Trackers: 10 units high

These limits are important. When equipment is stacked beyond the recommended capacity, the devices may not charge effectively and could result in a voided warranty.

Long-Term & Seasonal Storage

If your business closes seasonally or you need to store your LRS equipment for an extended period, a little preparation can help protect battery health.

For rechargeable LRS equipment, leave the devices on their charging bases with the power supply switched on while they are not in use.

Our recommendation: Keep your pagers and trackers charging while you’re away so they’re ready when business resumes.
