Earlier this year, LRS launched On Cue for Restaurants. On Cue is a waitlist app that helps restaurants take managing customers to the next level. Out with the pen and paper lists, and in with the tech-savvy applications.
With On Cue, the host collects party names, party size, method of notification (either text or pager) and wait times then adds parties to a rolling list in the iPad app. Party names are color coded by time to warn the host when the party’s wait time is coming up. Simple enough to use.
On Cue’s table management feature and the new table status updater greatly increases the value for restaurants.
Table management goes beyond the waitlist
When it is time to seat a party, the host will page or text the guest to meet at the host stand. Depending on the party size, the host can easily see what tables are available in the app before seating the party. The view of the available tables is not a map of the restaurant, but a list of available tables by size. He can see tables that seat pairs, parties of four, six and more.
This table list is created online beforehand and is synced with the app. Sections such as patio, bar seating, and dining rooms can be created with the number of tables and their sizes. The table management feature gives the host the ability to see an overview of seating activity. Color coding is also used to show which tables are open, occupied and currently being cleaned or need to be cleaned.
What does “complete integration” mean?
LRS is known as the inventors of the restaurant buzzers that can be found in many restaurants nationwide helping hosts manage waiting customers. While pagers represent where LRS started, On Cue is an indicator of where the company is going: toward simple communication solutions. On Cue was created with paging systems in mind, and it can integrate easily to be linked with paging systems. Customers with existing paging systems can download an app, connect the pagers and the app to utilize both text and paging. The purpose of the integration is to give customers an option on how they want to be notified.
Mobile updater takes waitlist and table management up a notch
Once On Cue is linked to a paging system, the table updater is another way to boost operational efficiency. Managers can use a hand held device called the table status updater and update the status of each table in the restaurant as it’s happening in real-time on the app. The statuses will continuously update in the app and will help the host stay current on table availability.
